Hi I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what fans I should buy for for a push/pull configuration on a Corsair H100?

I was thinking about buying 4 x Aero-cool Shark 120mm fans, would they work well for this configuration?

Thanks

the aerocool sharks dont have much static pressure, u'd find them poor performers compared to say the sycthe gt and the corsair sp

Sounds good but the fans are pretty pricey compared to the shark ones. Would they're be a noticeable difference If I was to go for them instead of the aero-cool fans?

Get Enermax Magma. Plenty of pressure (1.4mm H2O) and airflow, while they are quiet and pretty cheap (if you shop around)

Since I put 4 of those the FX8350 @ 5.1 with 1.5v it was idling at 0C and never gets more than 48C at Prime 95 (gets to 58C for 5 seconds until the pump kicks the revs). So removed two of them, and still temps are low (plus 5 to 7C the above) for even less noise. (18db)

With the 2 corsairs the H100s comes with, plus 2 more fans for PUSH it was getting to 70C on Prime95 and was as loud as a hoover while it was idling at mid 20s.

For watercooling you need high air pressure and the airflow those Magma provide isn't compromised either. (117.49 cubic metres/hour)

Also they are coming with Molex connector if you do not want to attach them on the H100 block.

Push pull is a waste of time.

Dont think your current fans are up to the job or that they are too loud?

Grab some GTs to replace them.

Static pressure on fans is only useful if the air from the fan doesn't pass through the radiator well. GTs or SP120s is all you need for a h100i. The SP120s are loud but quieter than the stock ones due to rubberized corners. The GT's are about the same performance wise but quieter.

Doubling your fans for an extra bit of static pressure is not worth it if you have the right set of fans in the first place, both cash wise and noise wise. Many people swear by push/pull but lets face it, if you cant get a clock stable at 84 degrees, you wont be that much better off at 81 degrees.
