Just built my m8 a new pc and he wanted one of these corsair h100 coolers in it. The pump seems to be working but the led lights for fan control and the fans themselves when plugged into the unit wont spin??. I have plugged the fan header onto the cpu fan on motherboard and connected up the 4 pin molex. I don't think i'm doing anything wrong it looks pretty straight forward stuff??

Anyone else had any problems with these units?

I have checked and the fans work, just not when plugged into the h100.

Just want to check it is defective before I RMA it:(

yeah the molex was plugged in(also checked to make sure that molex was working with a D5 water pump). the 3pin from the pump I plugged onto the cpu fan header on the motherboard. I assume that was the correct place for it as the instuctions were hopeless.

Corsair instructions always are for some reason, if that's all plugged in correctly then it sounds like a duff pump, RMA it, depending how long you have owned it you may be able to take it back to the store you got it from for a direct replacement :)

Contact the etailer you're still well within your DSR period, get it swapped :)

Its an unfortunate side effect from these ALC coolers, they are still well within their infancy and still need time to grow so problems are fairly common at the moment. Worth the chance IMO, my H80 is rock solid and giving fantastic temps too.

Same thing happened to mine, but I didn't fancy having to take the side off the case every time I wanted to ramp the fans up so I bought a lian li PCI slot fan controller and 3 pin extension leads. works fine with external fan controller and you don't have wires hanging around the pump head looking messy

They say that none of the units were sold outside of north america, but it's a crock of you know what because i bought mine from ocuk
