Hello all, I recently purchased a white 600t and h100i cooler. How ever I'm having a few problems I can't seem to just "google it". The instructions are also **** poor to say the least.

Anyways, I have installed the 2 supplied fans with the h100i at the top of the grill and mounted the radiator below it (I plan to upgrade the fans). My problem been the H100i comes y fan splitters that should be plugged into the 2 top fans.

However since I have a 600t with a built in fan controller I would prefer to just have all 4 fans including the top grill ones over the h100i plugged into there.

My questions really are will not have the y splitter plugged in at all effect anything and does the USB header need to be plugged in for the corsair software etc. Or is the software and plugging the fans into the control pump a massive performance boost?

Thanks for reading chaps much appreciated!

Running the fans on the built in controller won't stop anything from working... And obvious the software needs the USB connection to get the readings and data from the pump.

But note that running the fans off a fan controller will make the software fan readings and control redundant.

Personally I would use the fan controller and run the fans at the highest you can stand, forget the software it does nothing for cooling performance.

If you're not going to be using the software to control the fans etc you can remove the USB altogether. I run my fans off PWM so I just plugged the USB in just to set the LED colour then unplugged it and uninstalled the software.

I monitor the pump speed using the single wire coming from the pump, plugged into a fan header.

Please can you upload photos as I plan on putting a h100i in a white 600t also :)

Sure mate this is just the basic asus ai overclock suite I have not oc'd up to 4.6 / 7 yet was just testing and I'm very pleased.

I am also using a 6870 and crappy psu from my old build but will be upgrading tomorrow. If you would like some screen of prime 95 running with the fans at low and high I don't mind.

Cheers!

go for 4.4+ and give us a good test, Yes you can control the fans from the in-built fan controller or via mobo or via h100i. Personally of the lot I'd go for mobo as I really didn't like the 600t's fan controller (made most of my fans click due to voltage regulation) I went ahead and bought a Lamptron FC6 now my rig is almost perfect just have to upgrade my cooler to handle higher overclocks h100i, fathom or the XSPC kit looks like my best bet

I think when I fit mine I'm going to have the rad in the top grill part and fans underneath pushing up and exhausting air through the rad and out.

Deffo clock it a bit more dude!

It seems I've been very lucky and got a high quality chip got it all the way up to 4.7 stable but started to run a bit hot. I'm waiting on my new components (platinum rated PSU, r9 290 and scyth fans etc) before I really push it. However using some basic settings on the RAM and multiplier I'm rocking 4.6ghz without going over 48 degrees full load. I'm assuming this is one of the better chips.
