Help please....just switched on my computer and there is quite a strange clicking/knocking sound (quite loud) coming from the ?radiator/?pipes of the AIO. Sounds like it might be air bubbles?

Any ideas what to do please?

Ran Intel Stress test for a couple of minutes with the pump on full blast and that seems to have sorted it :)

So the clicking noise has come back in earnest for the last few days.

I contacted Corsair via their support ticket system and they have authorised an RMA. I can only assume it is a faulty unit, or maybe OCUK sent me an old batch! Either way Corsair are sending a new one out to me ASAP.

Interesting how the Corsair rep hasn't even bothered to come in here and perhaps enlighten us as to what is causing this!

Probably just a faulty pump and I'm sure the rep can't tell you exactly what is wrong with the unit anyways.

O well. You're getting it RMAd!

How is that interesting?

Corsair products go wrong every second, if they employed people to go and comment in every thread they might as well just spend a bit more on quality control..

I have a H100i that I had to RMA. They sent me a BNIB one as a replacement (although the RMA itself was painful) and that's going straight on eBay as I'm not putting another Corsair item on my desk. Ever.

Its interesting because the reps are paid by Corsair to comment/troubleshoot problems and provide advice. They do spend money to do exactly that...to comment on their products...to make sure they maintain their image...which has clearly been lost on you too!

If you post in another section, for example - Graphics, the reps do a good job of making sure that at the very least they have acknowledged a problem.

On a separate note, why was your RMA painful? Mine seems to be quite straightforward...they have taken my CC number, will send me a new cooler and I send the old one back! My CC doesn't get charged as long as they get the old one back within 2 weeks.

Don't worry I've had my H110i GT a few months now and it's still going strong, you will get the sound of water when you start it up but it should go away in a few seconds this is normal.
A little tip is tilt your case from side to side and this should help with any air in the system.

Got a brand new one as a warranty replacement yesterday. Express RMA was awesome! Completely quiet with the Noctua fans...no clicking and can't here the water on startup either!

Mine's been fine since launch. You get the odd faulty unit man, it's just the odds :)

Yeah I know but I keep hearing bad things about Corsair lately. Anyway had mine installed since the weekend just gone and zero problems so far apart from the last day or two it makes a kind of crackling sound every now and again but I guess that could be air bubbles or something. Quite pleased with it so far, and with the thermal grease that came pre-applied (I didn't bother cleaning it off and putting my own on) my i7-4770K idles around 28c :)

EDIT: Just read your message clone, will give it a couple of gentle tilts as I guess the crackling is trapped air afterall :)

Even if you had to rma corsair now has a place in the UK now,I left the stock thermal paste on as well as its quite good.
Any problem's ask Greybeard the corsair rep he helped me out with a rma for my old H80 and I got back a new sealed H80i.

Problems with there pumps on the h110i gt too !! how common is this? I had 7 RMA's on my corsair h80 and dont want to go through that again. I was about to buy that cooler on the 24th.

If you want RMA express (where they send you new before you return old) you need to send the unit back to Holland at your expense.

Otherwise you get a replacement from that 4 letter competitor of OCUK since they are the official RMA vendor for Corsair in the uk, so I was told in a ticket convo.

The units that get sent from them with 4 letters are never shrinkwrapped. Mine came with a circular sticker over the flap. I asked for a shrinkwrapped one this time and again it only came with the sticker.

And again there are 2 finger print sized dents in the fins. It's not as bad as the last one but ffs why can't their Corsair packing staff pick things up by the edges. I'm glad they don't make anything with an exposed PCB, caps, and chips...

I couldn't see the option to get a replacement before sending my old one off. It was at this point I thought F it, bye bye Corsair. So I bought a Noctua DH15 to replace the H100i. My 4790K idles at 27-30 degrees and under load I've seen it get up to high 50s. But this isn't an AIO vs Air debate so I'll leave it at that.

Sent my H100i off (I had to pay for postage), had no replies to my ticket (even though I posted questions) until about 2 weeks later I received a DPD note through my door, explaining that my parcel would be ready to collect the next day...

Great, but they missed out the bit where I should be collecting it from.

So 15 minutes calling 0845 numbers later and I've found the shop I need to goto (only 2 miles away...) and I go there the next day. The lady in the shop has no idea what's going on- I explain I'm picking up a parcel, show her my delivery slip and she says I need to print my email... lol.

Anyway, after a bit of sweet talking we agree that I can take the box with my name and address on that's behind her home with me.

Open it and it's a sealed brand new H100i. So not a terrible ending I suppose. Means I can throw away the rest of the stuff I didn't send off and stick this one on eBay.

Not a great experience. I've had SP2500 go wrong 2 months out of warranty and Corsair basically told me to 'do one'. Sure a lot of people have Corsair stuff that doesn't go wrong, I won't be chancing it in future though, high end or go home IMO.

Did you use the express RMA? If so, where did they ask you to send the return?

I just went to the corsair website and logged in. Then went to RMA i think. the last time was about 12 months ago. They send a courier to pick the item up, then return with the replacement to your home. Thats what happened everytime I have used them. The RMA goes to holland.

Yeah ok that's how I understood it. It seems you have to send it yourself to Holland if you do the express RMA.

Thinking about it though, I bought a K70 a few months ago direct from their website and received a US layout. Because they had no UK layout in stock, I asked for a refund and had to send it to Holland. I was pretty annoyed about having to fork out for the return on top of them selling a US keyboard on a UK site.
