i know b4 you say there is a thread on these, but im about to fit and require some definitive info
1st
do you remove the thermal paste and apply some as5 for example?
2nd
what fan config is best ,, blowing in the case, etc?

have a Silverstone Fortress FT01B-W

cheers

It is up to you with the paste. I cleaned it off and used MX2.
As for the mounting of the fan and radiator I would say ignore Corsair's advice to reverse the fans, fasten the radiator to your rear exaust fan and use the supplied Corsair fan in push pull config. i.e. both fans exausting out of the back of the case.
Ensure that you have plenty of cool air coming in from outside though.
I bolted the Corsair radiator directly to the back of my case (removed the rear fan) and fitted the Corsair fan to the front of the radiator blowing out through the back.
I only have an i5 750 you may need 2 fans (as mentioned above) for an i7.

1/ probably not going to matter
2/ situation dependent, e.g. fan intake directly above graphics card exhausts isn't a winner if you've got a 280gtx throwing out a lot of hot air. That the TRUE wasn't getting the temperatures you wanted suggests low airflow across the cpu socket, so the answer may be more extensively rearranging the fans in the case than just setting the H50 to exhaust.
