Just got a H55 cooler, which is a pre filled liquid cooler, and its pretty loud. I have a CHA_FAN and CPU_FAN headers, the CPU end is into the CPU header and the fan into the CHA_FAN end. Whats the best way to lower the sound of the fans? Its like the fan is running at max RPM 24/7

They are both 3pin fans, and from my understanding you can't control 3pin via BIOS or Software?

Thanks

3 Pin will give full fan speed, 4 pin is PWM which is controlled via your motherboard and or software.
Your Fans can only run at max speed.
I would buy and run a four pin fan from your CPU fan header, if you are running push/pull config place a Y splitter to allow the CPU controller to operate both fans.

Would this be something that i'd need? Or would it be suitable should i say?

I have a combination of 3 and 4 pin fans and my pump is 3 pin, they are all speed controlled from the BIOS, look around in your BIOS for fan profiles/management, if your mobo can`t do it then you can get a speed controller or there is program called speedfan you can check out.
