Hi guys,

hope this is the right place to ask for a opinion and advice.Im in the process of building my new rig, just waiting for ivybridge and the new motherboards.

I've been purchasing bits and pieces as I wait and now it's cpu coolertime.im not a massive overclocker,im still learning but the corsair h60 was recomended to me by a friend and I admit I like the idea of it,pplus it looks neat inside the case.
I've read a few complaints about it though, sometimes being noisy and unreliable?
just wondered what other peoples experiance of it are?

cheers guys

Have a H80 (soon to be replaced with a custom loop) and the stock fans are incredibly noisy, like a jet fighter taking off from inside your case noisy.

Don't get me wrong the H60/80/100 coolers do a pretty damn good job

Solution? Have to pay out for some better aftermarket fans, I would suggest getting a pair of either Scythe GT 1850's, akasa apache or akasa viper fans, the latter two are PWM controlled, the GT's are probably the best of the three and are widely recommended.

For the overall cost you may be better off looking at something like the Phanteks cooler or Silver-Arrow provided your case is big enough.

Thanks for the quick reply,

My case is a corsair graphite 600t, quite a bit of room in there.I actually already have a apache in my case atm blowing on my gfx card, so worse case i'll swap it with that one,
I'll check the silver arrow now

thanks
