thinking of using a h60 sealed unit to cool my cpu instead of a fan, i read there just as loud as the fan fr the rad is noisy, but was going to replace it with a gentle typhoon 1850rpm, has any1 got a similar set up? its £60 with £15 for the fan, or is it better to go for an over clocked bundle (i5 3750k) and keep the fan suplied rather than faffing about?

How much have you got to spend? what case you have can determine if you can get a bigger cooler in there such as a D14 or silver arrow which are much better than the H60.

i am in the process of going full water but may try a closed lopp system first. whats the best budget water cooled closed loop for same processor as michael? i have an fractal design R3 case.

Diffrent cooler but im using the H50 and have changed the fans to Akasa apache blacks in push / pull they are great fans for the H-series coolers.

ive now moved away from the water cooling tbh, it does save space but if you go on overclockers page theres an unbranded water cooler (which is actually a crsair h80 without corsair written on it), theres no fans but if you were going to replace them anyways its well worth a look, it was advice i was given in another thread
