Hi Everyone

I am shortly going to be replacing my old CPU cooler with a corsair H70 and I am looking for some advice as to whether I would be better off mounting it as an intake or an exhaust.

My case is a coolermaster stacker stc-t01 with the following current fan setup:

2x 80mm bottom rear fans - exhaust
1x 80mm top fan - exhaust
1x crossflow fan - intake
1x front 120mm fan - intake
1x left panel 80mm fan - exhaust
1x top rear 120mm fan - exhaust

The rest of my setup is in my signature

All fans are noctua (barring the cross flow fan obviously) - the 120mm are nf-p12's and I cannot remember the model of the 80mm

I would be mounting the H70 radiator in place of the rear exhaust fan, but I am not sure whether my case would suit an intake or exhaust setup more. I could not find a unified answer to this question by searching so I thought I might get a better response if I put the question in the context of my specific case setup.

Hope you can help

Thanks!

Why not change the bottom two exhaust to intake? Hot air rises naturally so you're creating some sort of resistance in airflow. It would depend where you mount it as it will influence case air flow, but temperature wise it doesn't really matter as the differences in temperatures are marginal.

Edit: just re-read that it would be mounted as an exhaust, will be fine.
