Problem as title really, Have a Corsair H70 on a Gigabyte Z77-ud3h and approximately 50% of the time on boot after 10-20 seconds of getting to windows I hear the front fans really ramp up, speedfan has them at 1200RPM+ and FAN2 (which is the H70 pump) is on zero, CPU temps go up to 70°C
Obviously pump isn't on, fans trying to cool the high temp.

I can reboot the system and it's usually fine, the pump will be at approximately 700-1000RPM

It's annoying to say the least, although today the pump didn't start for the first 2 minutes of being in widows, then started by itself?

Not sure if it's a hardware issue, or if there needs to be a better option for the BIOS fan control I need to est to get best use from the H70?

Sounds like the pump is under volted. Make sure you have it hooked up to a permanent 12v source and not a header that varies voltage by temperature.

Could well be, is it not a pwm enabled pump? Or can it only run on 12V?
Haven't used this PC much and bought it second hand. Just came to resume Win10 from standby, now the front fans (rad fans) are on zero, and the pump on 1500rpm...

have to go to the bios and look!

The H70 pump needs to have 12V at all time, like what Tealc said. So go into your BIOS and check the fan header where the pump is connected. Make sure that its on constant 12v. But on the part that you said that the pump didn't start the first 2 min, that shouldn't happen at all. It's very possible that you have a faulty pump.
