Corsair HS1A slight problem

Ok brought these the other day. All seems to be good apart from one little problem.

While playing RIFT and only RIFT, everytime I exit the headphones just make a throbbing noise. It only happens on the new headset and doesn't happen on either the speakers or old headset. The only way to stop this is to restart the machine.

The soundcard is the Xonar DG.

Any suggestions?

All latest drivers installed?

Do a test on your onboard sound to see if the problem still occurs as a test.

I had this same issue with a Xonar DS and Rift (through speakers) - disabling GX in the Xonar control panel fixed the issue.

It makes no sense though, that this issue is only apparent when using the Corsair's. If it were some conflict with sound card and game, then it would be heard on other headsets and speakers. It is likely a conflict, possibly caused by the DS3D GX, as psykix said. Just strange that it doesn't happen with speakers.
