Corsair HX 850w or superflower/evga?

SuperFlower is a pretty trusted base brand like Seasonic, I would go for them.

Corsair and EVGA generally don't make their own and usually the one you are buying is a rebranded power supply (Seasonic / Powerflower for higher tier PSUs)

The problem with Superflower is their warranties are typically 7 years which is 3-5 years shorter than their competitors. Not sure about RMA's but if OCUK doesn't handle the warranty for the whole period you are looking at sending it half way around the world. They do make some fine psu's though.

Corsairs units are leaps and bounds ahead of the rubbish they had in their skimping years (got established with Seasonic built psu's then swapped to a lesser OEM and inferior psu's). The majority are built by CWT these days although they do use a couple of other OEM's as well. The likes of the RMx, HX and AX series are excellent psu's and their SF series are argueably the best SFF psu's available and all of these have 10 year warranties aprt for the SF which has 7 years. Their TXm (7 year warranty) and RM (10 year warranty) series are excellent budget models. Even the latest CX series has a 5 year warranty now. Avoid the CS and CV series.

EVGA's top models are typically Superflower built units with 10 year warranties. Mid range psu's can be either Seasonic or FSP built and warranties range from 5-10 years. Their budget models are built by HEC and should be avoided.

Phanteks psu's are excellent and are basically rebranded Seasonic models with 10 or 12 years warranty. Their Revolt X series is even designed to power two pc's.

At the more budget end are Bitfenix with their CWT built Whisper M (modular) and Formula series (fixed cables). These are very good psu's and you get a lot of quality for the money. The Whisper M has a 7 year warranty and the Formula has a 5 year warranty.

BeQuiet and Silverstone have some very good psu's in their lineups but tend to be very overpriced and have short warranties of usually only 3-5 years.

It's a excellent psu but personally I don't think it's worth the extra money. I wouldn't buy it. OCUK looks to be recieving a shipment of several Corsair models on the 26th of this month looking at the ETA dates.

Ya, waiting to see if there are any signs of seasonic and Corsair RMi or RMx ones. A competitor site has some of the PSU delivery date set in April.

I am not sure how the pricing will be tho.

PSU prices are all at historical highs atm.

I've been running a HX750i for 4 years now, and it's done well overall. Just ordered a HX850i from OCUK (part of that 26/02 delivery, hopefully) to help accommodate my 3090 and give a hand-me-down for a frankenstein PC for my GF. I just couldn't find a "definitely better" option around, that was both available and priced ok. I like the USB connection for monitoring power, which surprisingly isn't available on more devices out there?
