Is the fan on this PSU on the top or bottom of it?

you can mount them either way - my Fan points out of the bottom of my HAF932, its the best way for cable management as all the wires are closer to the mobo tray

Which one? The HX850 (and the HX750) are made by CWT, whereas the HX650 (and HX450) are made by Seasonic.

Yeah I think it just depends on your case, PSU being at bottom or top.

i have the 1000w and in an antec 1200 i had it facing upwards but in the haf it was downwards

Depends entirely on the case mounting - as long as the fan can breathe it does not matter.

My case mounts them sideways as it can accomodate 2 PSUs.

Whether you mount it facing up or down does make a difference to cable routing. My HX620 is mounted with the fan down, and then the cables are on the correct side for routing around the back of the motherboard tray.

Just something else to bear in mind.
