Hi all
I recently purchased a Corsair Hydro Series iCUE H100i ELITE Liquid CPU Cooler - 240mm from overclockers and while i like it there's a couple of things that annoy me.
1. Even on quiet mode the pump makes a bit of a noise, not super loud or anything and I'm probably quite sensitive to it but still.
2. The RGB fans get very loud when stressed. They are connected via the corsair hub at the back with i believe is a 4 pin connector plus an rgb connector.
Would it be possible to replace the fans for a quieter model?
I'm not particularly bother about RGB and i was thinking about the Bequiet fans but then noticed they are predominantly 3 pin
Anyone any thoughts on this or recommendations?
Thanks

I have just upgraded to a 12600k with the same cooler put just the PRO version, its still 240mm. I have just ran some tests under full load, with side covers off for now and no other fans.

I used AIDA 64 and it hit a max temp of 68c on one core, but the actual package temp after about 30 mins was 53c, I cant hear the cooler fans or pump. I am about 1m away or so. Its next to silent to be honest.

When I manually set the fans to max via the corsair software, they are very loud though. I assume you are running a much hotter CPU and hence the fans are ramping up much more?

I was thinking how impressed I was with the cooler haha. I came from a 120mm Kraken with a 6700k so that ran a little hotter.

Hi thanks for responding.
Well I'm actually running the same cpu as you but with a 3080 12gb graphics card which has added a bit more heat to my case
At idle the coolant sits around 32c and cpu package 39c, i have the presets set to quiet and the ML120 fans from corsair H100i start around 600rpm and they are silent.
If i play a CPU reliant game such as BF2042 (not hate please:) the fans can go up to 1300rpm and they are quite loud at that speed, turning them manually upto 2000 is like a loud hoover :(
My temps in general are good (i think) coolent temp 39c and cpu package 54c when in game.
I should point out most of my gaming is late evening and i have to be quiet so I'm very sensitive to noise and while the whole system in general is quiet the corsair fans are not when under stress.
I have since watched a few youtube videos which confirmed the corsair fans are loud.
I think this can vary for individuals though and not everyone is bothered by fan noise
