I think i read somewhere the K70 is going to be released soon with different colored keys. Is this true?

Yep, they are releasing the K70 with different switches soon, not sure exactly when. There's going to be a tenkeyless version as well.

I believe (from searching) that they're due for release some time in July so most likely, yes.

Yea i dont really see the point of not having the keypad unless maybe you go to lots of lans or have limited desk space.
