Corsair Link Problem

Sorry if this is in the wrong section I wasn't sure where to put it. I'm trying to install the newest version of the Corsair Link software and I'm getting this error:

So I tried uninstalling the old version first which just results in this:

Just read that thread and it says someone had success downloading a third party program to do the uninstalling for them. I don't usually trust programs such as that, in the end I was due a reformat so just reformatted and haven't actually bothered re-installing the Corsair Link software yet.
