are the modern ones using the same spagetti of wires and these ones now obsolete or is it still the same?

Latest I believe is icue link, according to Corsairs website is daisy chained from 2 ports on a single hub. There is a Hub still available (I think) that you can plug these older fans into, called a Commander core XT. I bought one a couple of years ago when I had an issue with 2 different models of Corsair RGB fans.

I have used the icue link without the spagetti of wiring in my make....wish I could afford them amazing.
