At the moment I've got the red led corsair ml 140mm fans on my rads black ice extreme 280mm cross flow, they perform well but red leds bother me so I'm thinking of replacing these with nocturnal nf-a14 industrailppc 2000rpm performance these are the same top speed as the corsair's.
Any thoughts.
Thanks.

Have you looked at the artic p14 fans? you can buy a value box of 5 fans for about £35 and from reviews I've seen they beat even the Noctua fans for cooling radiators. do some proper research yourself, but you might save a ton of money get better performance and a quieter pc

I have always wondered why Corsair put the ML on their rads

anyway the ml spec is:
Speed: 400-1200 RPM +/-10%
- Airflow(@ rated speed): 55.4 CFM
- Static Pressure: 1.27 mm-H2O
- Sound Level: 20.4 dBA

The Noctua is:
Rotational Speed (± 10%): 2000 RPM
- Min. Rotational Speed (PWM, ±20%): 500 RPM
- Airflow: 107.4 CFM
- Acoustical Noise: 31.5 dB(A)
- Static Pressure: 4.18 mm H2O

For rad the Noctua will be much better due to higher static pressure, 4.18 vs 1.27. However they will be noisier
