Corsair ML140 PWM Question

If I had two of the new Corsair ML140's cooling the front rad in my case would I need to have each fan separately connected to its own mobo header to ensure they operated correctly and avoided this known clicking issue when not PWM controlled, or could I use a PWM fan hub and connect both fans to one header?

I have one of the mini modmytoys 4-pin PWM to 4x4-pin PWM circuit boards lying around but want to make sure that the two ML140 will both receive correct signals from the mobo and levitate/perform correctly etc?

Mobo is an Asus Sabertooth z170 mk1 which does have 6 PWM headers but I'm trying to avoid too many extra cables inside the case if possible.

They should be fine on a splitter. Each fan has a current draw of 0.25A, totally 0.5A and a normally 4-pin fan header has a max output of 1A (some have more).

Hubs work fine for PWM, it's just if they are different fans the RPM signal can be a bit weird, the PWM signal transmits as normal though :)
