I was thinking of purchasing one of theese kits in blue for my HX850w. If anyone has theese, can i ask are they a plastic type braid like the akasa/nzxt type or a cloth type weave similair to the bitfenix cables. Kinda hard to tell from pics on review sites/forums. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, thanks for that. Does put me off a bit as i find the bitfenix ones a lot better to route/bend compared to the plastic type braid.

Good point, im currently using a few of the bitfenix extensions, (24 pin ATX, 8 and 6 pin pcie and a few molex cables). They certainly add a bit of bulk to the existing cables. Not really a big fan of the standard flat cables that corsair supply with their psu's.

EDIT: Ahh well, went ahead and ordered them, hopefully the 24 pin bitfenix extension i have will be a close enough match.

Just an update to this thread. Got the corsair cables in today. Absolutely gorgeous. Yes the braid is the plastic type, but very well done. Ill be fitting them into my rig tomorrow. Yes, they are a bit expensive, but i reckon it's money well spent.

Agreed, glad you like them :)

Ill fire up a few pics in case central tomorrow mate. The colour is pretty close to my bitfenix 24 pin cable so it should look fine. The HX850 is a great psu, but the standard flat cables are a disaster.

+1 regarding the flat cables - a nightmare to route as too stiff and unflexible, which puts strain on the flimsy connectors at the end of the cables.

I personally find the Nylon type brainding easeri to route as its more inclined to hold a radius if you bend it, the BitFenix ones are almost cotton like, very strange but the quality is very high so depends what you like best i guess, i currently have a mixture of custom nylon type ones and the BitFenix ones too.
