Hello , im after a 2TB PCIE 4.0 NVME SSD for a new build and have been looking at the faster corsair ones but wanted to know if its worth the extra cost to go to the highest read/write drives . I will be using the AMd 7000 series processor and X670 Motherboard
I got a WD SN850X 1TB (gen 4) for the OS drive as its one of the fastest gen 4 drives. I use a Corsair MP510 1920GB (gen 3) from my old PC for work data and games. I also have 2 SATA drives for download folder and music/videos and stuff. A fast OS drive is good for boot and app loading times and general performance but for other types of data it probably won’t make much difference unless you are running software that is IO limited.
