Hi, wonder if anyone could help me.

I recently came by some Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200PT TwinX for £50 and have stuck it straight into my system which runs lovely now, however I am at best an inexperienced OC'er and would like to try and get the best out of this memory and CPU. I understand the basic principles of memory OC'ing but not really sure where to start. eg tras, trcd or CAS latency etc.

Also I have an Athlon64 3700+ Clawhammer (S754) with an Arctic Freezer 64 on an A-bit NV8 mobo which I have Overclocked slightly to 2.6ghz, does this affect the memory in any way due to the memory controller on the Athlon CPU? If anyone reading this has OC'ed the memory mentioned, what sort of overclock did you get?

Any help from your kind selves' would be appreciated.

Thank you for your reply. Most helpful.

I did notice that in CPU-Z when I was notching the CPU up the HTT speed was going up in line with memory frequency. Currently 218.2mhz and seems pretty stable. Temps all seem to be not much above stock.

Ran Prime for about 8 hours last night and everything was fine this morning.

How much improvement would I see if used CAS2 ram instead of the CAS3 ive got?

Thanks for that. I'll give it a whirl tonight when I get from work. Hopefully I'll get some favourable results.
