Hi,

I'm just building my new system which will have an i7-4790K, Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming G1 Black Edition and 2 x GTX980 HOFs. I was originally planning to use the PSU from my old system and get an 850W to run my current one as a secondary gaming system for the kids, but OcUK had an offer on the 1200W SuperFlower Leadex Platinum last week, so I bought that instead.

So my question is, for my new build, should I stick with using my 3-4 year old Corsair 1200W Professional Gold PSU, (the non 'i' version) which at the time was rated as one of the best PSUs or use the new SuperFlower PSU?

Thanks. :)

I'd go with the Superflower on the new build and move the Corsair over. Better efficiency rating and it's going to have better ripple surpression and noise ratings than a 4 year old Corsair PSU, albeit one made by Flextronics.
