Hello Guys and Gals,
Corsair would like to get some inputs from you guys regarding PC enclosures. I hope you guys don't mind answering a couple of questions to help us build the next generation of our PC case line up. The data that we would gather will play a vital role as it would show us what direction take and what things to consider when we start development in the future. Ultimately, we'd like to build a case based on what you guys really want.

If you guys have anything in mind, like unique features that has never been done before or any cool ideas that would make a case stand out from the competition, or simply anything that would improve our current PC Case line up that isn't included in the survey. Please post them below and maybe we can have a discussion around it.

Thank you in advance! Your help would be greatly appreciated :)

I'd like to see a nice oblong case, thats small. Thats where im going to. I'm done with the big beefy cases that I used to build in the 1990s.

I'm moving on to smaller and quieter cases. With 1 optical drive bay, 2x 3.5 HDDs and about 4x 2.5 SSD bays. Probably move to a micro ATX board. Small and minimalistic, that just sits there out of the way.

My 2 pennies worth:

A proper mitx gaming case (not a case for a glorified NAS or small server, or to house 6 hdd's), but TINY, ie just enough room to fit things but fit things well, cable routing, watercooling (AIO 120/140 or even a well thought out 240) and obviously room for a monster graphics card.

Full size dvd mounts? Its mitx, use a small slot dvd drive or not one at all.
Space for 4+ full size hdd's? Again people are using 1 or 2 ssd's and I use an external caddy for a media drive.

Styling
interior
Having modular space and decent placement of psu (not over the motherboard causing restrictions) not letting for massive gaps/corners of a case not being used where an ill placed powersupply could be housed and put out the way. I always admire a painting interior too.

exterior
Its a tiny pc for a reason. To be placed on the desk and shown off a little. No big moulding to make it look cool for 15 yr olds, should be simple, elegant, modern. If it has lights make them subtle, and configurable (similar for internal lighting). Windows/mesh are good but only if you can see things and well placed, don't wanna be staring at bad cable management! Quirky/innovative design is good too. Oh and easy to assemble/disassemble. Lian li's tiny screws are awful.

In my opinion theres only a few companies producing nice itx cases. Parvum (soon), silverstones sg05 will always be a legend and the ncase m1.
The 250d is impressive and has many things I like (styling, windows, management etc) but its just too darn big!

With itx becoming the "big thing" recently it seems like a good area to dominate. Probably nott o everyone's tastes and I'd be better off making my own case but hey!

Done.

Suggestion: more cases with an option of solid sides, really like a lot of your cases but I really don't like them windowed as a personally preference.

Also I would like to see more form factors based on the 540 design.
