Looks very promising indeed.
Just one problem, the fan is rated at 40dba at full speed, which is fine if it never gets to full speed but even at half speed thats not a quiet fan.
Its an AD1212HB-A71GL. Specs here(pdf).
That suggests it might get noisy under high load or in a hot system.

Can't say anything about the quality until a few have blown up so we can see if it destroys any attached components or not.

Well, he did comment on very prompt response of the fan controller, and you can see the response load curve on Corsair's site.

Considering that no matter how much e-peen extension people think theyre getting with 1KW PC&Ps most CF + dualcore PCs dont even use 500W at the wall at full load, I'm prepared to take my chances, tbh.

Specially with the 10A inrush / 3.5A running current @ 24v of my RD-30 :rolleyes:

Well, I run it @ 15v so its a lot less, but im still pretty close to the limit of 12V2 on my Liberty.
