Just spotted this as a comment response on the hardocp forum, apparently they're working on replacement front plates to give the 350d and 750d cases more airflow. No more having to hack the crap out of the front plate to get better airflow.

:)

Quote from redbeard one of the Corsair reps.

You're not being ignored. We're working on it as an accessory for both 350D and 750D for people who want the extra airflow.

up to 5c difference if you measure it :)

Which these days can easily be the difference between a graphics card throttling and not throttling. Just looking at the Corsair forums and "Corsair George" has the following to say.

I am working on a solution to see if it can be done quickly and cheaply enough that you guys would care about it. No sense in doing it if it's going to be a $40 part, and also no sense in doing it if it will take 6 months.

I *THINK* it can be done in a couple months and at a reasonable cost, but I have to make sure engineering tests my idea to make sure it's feasible.

That's where we are right now.

I'm looking at it for both 350D and 750D right now. The 250D doesn't have the issue.

That being said his reply was on the third of July whereas the other guy on the Hardocp forum was on the 17th of July so as he sounded more positive it looks to be moving forward. Corsair have said that in their tests it made little difference, if that's the case why since the 750d have other cases come out in the obsidian series with a meshed front panel?

"Our first prototype didn't work the way we hoped. We're tooling a second prototype now (more similar to 450D style) and we should get it later this month to test and approve.

If it works we begin tooling which means the product would be ready in about two months.

Looking at both 350D and 750D for this option."

Update. Still a couple months off :(

Has a filter built in but can still be used with the old filter as well going by people that have it.

Why do led fans always look like reverse swastikas?:eek:

Got mine today, the "master race" led fans shine through it well  :p

In person it matches up well colour wise, just the flash making it look odd here.
