CORSAIR psu and throttle whine

So after two replacements I've sent back a CX850 and a Rm650.

Seasonic g750 under futuremark seems to be holding up!

Been a massive ballsache having to instigate two refunds, deinstallation / installation of two psu in a newbuild

I am not surprised at the CX850 as they are a low quality psu with cheap internals but I am surprised at the RM650. Was it a RMx or RMi? If RMx it's even more surprising as they are one of the best series that Corsair sell.

You have the same psu as me now and I have never had any coil whine with mine either plus it's really quiet too.

Rmx, it was only when my Zotac 1070FE was underload. CX850 was cpu idle whine.

So far so good with the seasonic, slight whine at idle if I put my ear to the psu but inaudible apart from that.

The seasonic is a lot noisier with the fan as the Rm650x rarely came on
