Just built a system for the wife and used a 400w corsair Psu, When you power on it comes on for a second then powers straight off. Stripped the pc and connected everything on a box still the same. So i tried an old cit psu and it worked fine.
If i disconnect the motherboard 12v connector it stays on with it connected the psu will not stay on and powers off...

I managed to find a tech support number for corsair and spoke to a chap who basicly said that they have had a few do this and it could be a bad batch and i should not plug it in as it could damage other components..??

Nice to see Corsair failing at quality control.....:eek:

Now i have another night of restricted gaming as the wife uses my Rig for her facebook......

I had part of that batch too, OcUK replaced it with no issues and the replacement worked great. Ordered another since then and it's flawless.

I must admit its the first faulty Psu i have ever had and i have built a fair few pc,s... Will get it sent back and replaced..

I could use the old Cit power supply as a temp measure but it scares me, its so light and just feels crap...

But i suppose it works.........:D

I,m just unlucky..............

Have installed the Cit until it gets replaced. I,m kind of scared its going to blow up or catch fire...
