Hi peeps,

Not sure if this is the correct area for this question , if so ....Sorry !!

Ive got a RM850i psu and im looking at making my own cables for it as i want them in bright green , but i dont want to pay £80 odd for the ready made ones cause i want them custom lengths. Not sure where to start to be honest ive seen the sleeving and heatsink etc but i dont know what connectors to buy for the end that goes in to the psu itself.

Could anyone help me out please ??

It's easy enough to do, just make sure you get the wires in the correct places or something could go bang when you power it up. If you are struggling to get hold of the connectors for the psu end you could always use the existing ones. You just need to get hold of the tools to extract the cables from them. You can get a set of tools for £15-20 depending on the brand. I have a Phanteks set and they do the job nicely and can remove the pins from all varieties of connectors. If you are going to be making your own cables it's a good idea to have a set of tools as you never know when you may need them. I have put a cable in the wrong socket before and wouldn't have been able to get it out again without a set of tools.
