managed to get hold of a corsair rm1000i my problem the cable to power the cpu my ststem board has a 4 pin connector the psu has a 8 pin connectors for cpu is there an adaptor that can convert the 8 pin to 4 pin to fit my system board

Hi

The 8 pin cpu cable will split in half so you can have a 4 + 4 cable. There should be two of those cables with the 1000W RMi.
