Hi all,

Got an RMA back from Corsair for my AX.... Query is (and they didnt answer on RMA thread) was should I (could I) just ship the PSU, as I dont really want to pull all the cables out of my case to send back - when their is nothing wrong with them.

I was going to send back just the PSU, do members here think that would be OK? PSU being returned for excessive coil whine when SLI is engaged.

Why don't you just ask Corsair? They're normally pretty specific about what they want to be sent back

I am considering rmaing my ax1200 as there is a lot of whine when the pc is off and my 5v is dropping to about 4.8v when puttin under load of my sli

They do normally specify....

I know when I RMA'd my SSD they said specifically just send the drive back - have a look at your message centre maybe slightly more. Alternatively your best bet is to ask directly on the Corsair forums - more chances someone will have actually RMA'd one there...

I request rmas via their email service.

I've always returned the whole PSU (cables included) as, when they test it, i want it to be as representative as possible of the unit that's causing problems - i.e. there could be a slim chance that it's a cable causing the problem.

Oddly enough i've just recieved back a TX650 (not modular) and the p&p to send cost under £20 using DHL and the turn around was less than 10 days.
