some of my PC4000 memory has failed and ive been looking at corsair's site and i have a lifetime warrently... apparently. but i cant seem to find out if this is just for the USA or if its world wide, and i cant find a returns address for the UK either.

does corsair have a uk site and/or address? i googled but nothing came up :(

and the reason for this failing... I have a X2 4400 and an Asus A8n-premium. this has so far killed 3 pairs of ballistix memory (5 chips failed out of 6) and has now killed this pair of Corsair (just the 1 chip).

is it the motherboard doing this? or the X2 4400s mem controler? All memory has been cooled by a spare amd 70mm fan, so temps havnt really been a problem.

Generally with all the failed chips ive started using them at 2.65 volts, and slowly (or fast with 1 pair of ballistix) ive had to increase the voltage for them to be memtest stable, by the time they get to 2.75 or 2.8 nothing makes them stable anymore... I've now got to that point with the corsair, which has lasted longer than all the crucial put together but its still very annoying... :(

I RMAed some Corsair RAM this morning. there is no UK address, you must send it to California. RAM is light though so postage is cheap.

Royal Mail

My parcel weighed 91g and was in a fairly big envolope. It doesnt cost much, and isnt like duff RAM is that valuable lol

Make sure you use a "Signed For" service as Corsair were absolutely infamous for losing your RAM after delivery. Unless you could prove the RAM had been delivered, they were generally a bit unhelpful. It is much better now though, and Yellowbeard (from Corsair Tech Support) is a regular on here who seems quite happy to go and twist a few arms to get things moving again.

Yeah, i had to pay £30 to send my PSU to them. Bit crap really. Bloody expensive.

If it was under 12 months old you should have insisted on sending it back to the UK retailer for them to return for you. You shouldn't be out of pocket on a warranty claim inside 12 months. Unfortunately most UK retailers ask you to put the receipt for the postage inside the packaging, which is somewhat difficult to say the least in the queue at the post office.

Cost me £7 to send my corsair to the states signed international. It was 3 years old :)

They are very quick on returning it although UPS was rubbish!
