some of my PC4000 memory has failed and ive been looking at corsair's site and i have a lifetime warrently... apparently. but i cant seem to find out if this is just for the USA or if its world wide, and i cant find a returns address for the UK either.
does corsair have a uk site and/or address? i googled but nothing came up
and the reason for this failing... I have a X2 4400 and an Asus A8n-premium. this has so far killed 3 pairs of ballistix memory (5 chips failed out of 6) and has now killed this pair of Corsair (just the 1 chip).
is it the motherboard doing this? or the X2 4400s mem controler? All memory has been cooled by a spare amd 70mm fan, so temps havnt really been a problem.
Generally with all the failed chips ive started using them at 2.65 volts, and slowly (or fast with 1 pair of ballistix) ive had to increase the voltage for them to be memtest stable, by the time they get to 2.75 or 2.8 nothing makes them stable anymore... I've now got to that point with the corsair, which has lasted longer than all the crucial put together but its still very annoying...
