I bought an 800d from OCUK. When building my new setup I had the problem a lot have experienced with the hotswap SATA power cable not reaching properly to the top of the backplane. Through loosening the cables I was able to attach everything, but one of the plastic covers of the power cable came off and wouldn't reattach. Whilst everything worked it was annoying as it wasn't perfect.

In addition to this, having completed the build I saw I had a 2/3" scratch on the window side panel. I couldn't categorically say that this happened during transit, but I logged it in my SATA power cable RMA stating clearly that I wasn't sure if this was something I did by accident or if it happened in transit.

Today I received both a new SATA power cable, and a new windowed side panel.

Just thought I'd post here incase others experience the same problems, and to say that my experience of Corsair RMA Support has been brilliant. I know you could say that they should be "brilliant" for such an expensive case. But little touches such as a reply from a human to say that my RMA had been dealt with were exceptional customer service.

Good to hear Corsair's RMA is living up to its reputation.

The 800D is one of those cases that makes you glad you spent the extra money on it, just oozes class and build quality (except for your one apparently lol).

I'm interested in this case but read reviews of poor cooling. whats your view on this? thats air cooling mind

Replaced all my stock fans with Sharkoon 1500 RPM 140mm ones, added 3x sharkoon SE 2000 RPMs in the top and hooked it all up to a Zalman fan controller. Keeps it pretty cool tbh, I imagine temps at stock arent very good though.

I've replaced all the fans too.

I'm using a Xigmatec 1000rpm 140mm fan at the bottom, a fractal design 140mm fan for the HDD cage, and 2x Gentle Typhoons for my H50.

Next pay cheque will be spent on 3 more Gentle Typhoons for the roof of the case and a fan controller.

My temps have been fine. My i5 750 at stock idles between 17C and 23C dependent on weather, and 45C-50C under prime95.
