Corsair RMi Series RM850i still ok for a new build?

Hello all, i am looking to build a new pc, and want to reuse as much as possible this time.

i have a 4 year old - Corsair RMi Series RM850i. on my current Intel I7 6700K, which will be replaced with a 12th gen cpu / mobo.

any issues with this ?

That's fine as it's a good psu and even has 6 years of it's warranty remaining.

I have the RM850X at the moment and will be using it for my new alder lake build with the 3080 and 12600kf,this psu never missed a beat when I had the 10700k over clocked and running the 3080, so yeh you will be fine.

Good to hear. Have you swapped out the cables for braided ones

I plan to just whip out the PSU from this machine and leave the cables in place

im running 10850k @5.1 and 3080 on mine..

and its probably 5year old

I'm still running on a Corsair PSU from 2007 so you'll be fine mate
