Saw these on Corsair's YT channel as out now, although I can't find the 450 anywhere yet.

Looking forward to a quality SFX, gives me a good reason to go well into the small ITX builds. Anyone else got a similar idea due to these? :D

These were announced ages ago so they took their time launching them. About time there was a alternative to Silverstone. Great Wall is the OEM (They already build the CS series) and they are able to output all of their wattage (450/600w) on the 12v rails. Both are gold rated with a 7 year warranty. Just have to wait for some reviews now.

MSRP: SF600 $119.99 Exc. Tax - SF450 $89.99 Exc. Tax

Wouldn't persuade me to go ITX though as there are just too many compromises for my liking. My next build will be M-atx.

Got the SF450 today and I have to say I am loving it so far. My main aim was to keep my computer as quiet as possible. I moved from a Silverstone SFX PSU and I can tell the difference right away.

The Corsair is whisper quiet the PSU fan hasn't come on once but to be honest I don't really game a whole lot anymore and I am only running a 960GTX in my SFF system. So I am not really taxing the system a whole lot but I will try a few games and see if the fan kicks in.

Same oem (Great Wall) but by the looks of things a very different and more efficient platform than the CS series. The CS series are only rated to deliver their max outputs at 40 degrees C and the CS450/550/650w are not able to deliver all of their wattage on the 12v rail. These new SFX units are rated at 50 degrees C (which is the normal rating for psu's) plus they can deliver all of their power on the 12v rail. They also have a much longer 7 year warranty compared to the CS only having 3 years. We just need some reviews now to see how they compare to the Silverstone and BeQuiet SFF units.

Reviews should start showing up by tomorrow. We'll surely see more information about these SF PSUs in the coming weeks.

In terms of availability, I thought all channels worldwide got their inventory already. I know some stores are taking pre-orders already.

Ive just got hold of the 600w version. Ill be using it for a friends ITX build.
Must admit if im impressed I'll prob change to itx as well for my gaming build in a few yrs time. The lack of psu choice was holding me back last time round.

Got one of these recently for my system rebuild:

Firstly some unboxing pictures.

Box reminds me of the one my old HX520 came in nearly a decade ago - yellow and black. Seems Corsair are consistent.....when it comes to box colours that is!! :p

Now for the included accessories.

The additional cables and the PSU come in soft touch FAAAAKE velvet bags - so nice and stress relieving to touch. Corsair obviously care about the mental health of it's customers!! +1

They also included some cable ties and a very nice high quality metal badge too.

However despite this concern, they didn't bother to include an ATX adaptor plate!!

Bad Corsair!!

The included cables.

However,to my chagrin they were shorter than I expected(more on that later!!).

Finally,a picture of the PSU.

At low loads the PSU will run passively it appears!! Yay!:)

However, you can only appreciate how small an SFX PSU is when you look at the following picture!

The XFX PRO 450W is also one of the shorter ATX PSUs currently available at 140MM long too.

The PSU does not spin up that much(if at all) during now loads and I cannot certainly hear it when gaming.

The cables are pretty short though.

Seems to be a very good psu and a better choice than Silverstones offerings which can be noisey due to the fan. They have been getting some excellent reviews. Jonnyguru gave the 450w version 9.9/10 here and the 600w version 9.7/10 here.

As for the cable lengths, it's for a sff pc so it shouldn't need long cables. Then again, some of these so called sff cases are bigger than my midi tower. Just because they only take a itx motherboard shouldn't class them as sff. I would class this or this as sff but in no way should this or this be termed sff.
