Browsing the sffpc subreddit there appears to be relatively large numbers of failing SF750’s being reported. It appears this may be restricted to certain batch numbers but if you have one it might be worth checking further, I have one in one of the “bad” batches and have emails the Corsair guy so will see what comes of this.

Reddit thread here

Just read that link and this is a serious problem that Corsair needs to address immediately. They need to make people aware of this and as they have reps on many tech forums they should start a thread on each forum announcing this problem. Not everybody uses Reddit. It's a shame as the SF series are probably the best SFF psu's around.

Think its only a couple of specific batches but agreed, it needs to be addressed. We supplied about 50 systems with the SF750 in N-Case chassis to a big university with pretty high specs for a sff system and have not had any returns or issues relating to the PSU. They are a great PSU as are the Silverstone SFX PSU. The FSP Dagger is also a great SFX PSU but not readily available in the UK any longer. (Not even sure it was as mine was a sample).

These PSUs were in short supply already, going to be a while before we'll be able to get new ones then i think :( A lot of SFF builds will have to be put on hold...

My SF600 is in the effected range, I contacted support and they just sent me a shipping label and a link to search for the nearest drop off point. Nearest one is 8 miles away.

I replied and told them that I need a replacement first and that I can't get to the drop off location. They have said they can do an advanced RMA and pay for a new PSU which is refunded once mine is returned.

Was that Corsair's support, or support from the place you bought it?

Indeed. I've seen a few places saying end of July before they have more stock.

The EVGA GM PSUs are supposed to be decent though. The bulk of other decent SFX PSUs are SFX-L, which isn't supported on some cases (CableMod's upcoming cable kits may help here though; low profile connectors and slim cables).
