Corsair SFXL 3.0

I see Corsair have released two new SFX PSU’s, one at 850 and the other at 1000. Can’t find any reviews yet but they are out there to buy.

Annoyingly they both appear to be SFX-L, and from what I can tell they’ve discontinued the SF750.

I just wondered if anyone had used one yet? Do we know if the cables are braided like on the 750? I’ve tried to find the answer but can’t locate the right info anywhere.

They aren’t braided but they appear to use a smaller connection than ‘standard’.

I’m sitting on the fence at the moment between this and the 850R Extreme which is supposed to be very quiet indeed. It’s also SFX, and although we are talking a couple of cm’s it all helps.

Yup! Seems hard to get at the moment. It’s a platinum rated 850w 3.0. It’s also supposed to be VERY quiet, even quieter than the new SFXL units from Corsair

I’m surprised at the lack of reviews out there for these Corsair units. Would have thought there would be loads of media attention on them, but there’s literally nothing.

My biggest concern is the cybenetics report shows them as being substantially loud, which is a real downgrade from the SF750.

hwbusters just uploaded a review for the 1k version, the noise looks like a real problem IMO. I’m disappointed in Corsair after how good the 750 was…
