Corsair SP2500 worthy buying?

Dear all,

I just wanted to ask your opinion on the Corsair SP2500 2.1 system. When the system came out, it received great reviews.

Is it worth purchasing a set now, or are there better alternatives for general multimedia purposes? I have looked into Edifier 530D, but the reviews seem mixed. Also considered a few other options, but nothing really caught my attention.

Thank you guys.

I am currently using Logitech Z10 and the sound quality of those is quite amazing. Unfortunately one of the speakers have developed a slight buzz in it, but I had them for about 10 years, so definitely not complaining. I might look into Hi-Fi brands such as Audioengine, as I want an upgrade, not a side step.
 
Thank you. Actually I have just purchased Audioengine A5+ a few days ago. The sound is great, although they are not broken in yet :)
