First of all this is my first build so go easy on me!

Note: The pictures aren't the greatest so apologies for that

I wanted to build a gaming PC that wouldn't cost too much so I went with good all bang for £ AMD. The FX processors seem to have good benchmarks and are overall very impressive for their value.

So here goes.

Here is the current game room:

My current PC I have had for about 3-4 years and its just being used as an Arch Linux file share at the moment as its pretty old.

So Yesterday all my kit arrived (apart from Graphics Card and SSD :/)

I took my old TV off the wall and have started to begin mounting the bracket for my 27" Asus VE278.

Unfortunately I got distracted half way through so its not up on the wall yet.

So swiftly moving on..

The PC,

So I started with the PSU (annoyingly its green and I wanted a red theme but no biggy just means I'll have to swap it for an AX or AXI series PSU later on)

Fans:

MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard, this has got to be my favourite item I purchased I'm overall very pleased with the colour and quality of this motherboard:

Got a pretty cool door hangar too (don't be fooled this doesn't keep women away, she still enters the room..)

I'm sure most of you will know but don't forget to put your 8pin PSU cable through before installing the motherboard this nearly caught me out!

and here is the rest:

Thanks for looking, I'll hopefully get some finishing photo's up later with some better pictures. Unfortunately I done a lot of the work in quite a dim room so the pictures lack quality and light.

Last night I think I got a fair bit done in the little time I had.

I managed to swap around my radiator to make it look better. Unfortunately I had to take my second back fan off at the back which annoyed me a little as the radiator needs a lot more room than I thought.

Ohh and my monitor is finally on a bracket and up on the wall

Moving back to the PC, I finally got it all together Bar my SSD and Graphics card which still hasn't arrived..
Safe to say I will be going for a Fully modular PSU at some point as there are too many wires to hide that I don't actually need and the space behind the motherboard is very lousy.

All case closed and power working first time woop!

Once I finish all the cable management and also tidy up my room I can post some photos of my set-up complete a little later. Thanks for looking and I appreciate any feedback given.

Update

So my Graphics card and SSD finally arrived..

I then installed the graphics card, I know some people are probably going to point it out but yes the wiring isn't that great, I did spend a lot of time on that after I took these photos when I put my drives in:

Then I put my SSD in and it was time to find out if my new PC would boot and pass POST...

And it did, wheyyy!

So its all finally installed, all I need now is a nice Fan controller to sit in the optical bay at the top.
