Thanks corsair, sent back my TWIN2X1024-8500C5D as it was faulty after 3-4 years of use.

And today they sent me TWIN2X4096-8500C5D as a replacement.

Nice and quick and no hassle.:D

bah just got my pc over to Australia and one of the replacement corsair ram sticks is faulty.

These were a replacement for the original faulty pair in March 2011, the pc has not been used since March 2012 until being powered on yesterday.

100% failure on memtest. Due to the move cannot find my receipts etc.

Trying to rma them but none of my log ins work on Corsair

Have you checked its seated properly, etc. ? Possible its come loose in transit.

Ah yes when I first powered it on it bsods. I ran memtest with 100% failure.

Pulled both chips out and tested one which passed 100%

Pulled that and tried the 2nd chip and it will not finish posting just freezes so cannot get into memtest with this chip

Corsair have processed the rma but they only have TWIN2X4096-6400C5 or DDR3 as replacements.

As I was not upgrading my pc yet its an Asus P5Q Deluxe so DDR2 and the 6400 is a lower spec ram from my 8500C5D
