I have just installed a saphire vega64 and noticed my old corsair tx850 is getting really hot and the fan is spinning realy fast and noisy to try and cool it . I have udervolted the vaga 64 and the rest of my system is prety basic on power draw. An old 2500k [email protected] . 1 hard drive and 1 ssd . And 16 gb duel channel memory at stock speeds. Does this gut meen my psu is old and worn out and needs replacing ?

80+ Bronze efficiency is really medieval wasting good amount more power than 80+ Golds.

But unless previous graphics card had lot lower power consumption, changing graphics card doesn't make dramatic difference to amount of heat coming out from PSU.
Unless case is prehistoric one with PSU on top.
In that case difference between referefence "blower" cooler GPU and fashionable non-reference card can make big difference.
