Hi, my motherboard has 2 CPU power sockets. 1x 8 pin ( already plugged in) and 1x 4 pin. I will be also using a 3080 founders edition. I have 2 cables both end with 2x8 pin plugs. From what I have read the 4 pin CPU socket isnt always required so the question is should I use 2 cables to supply the GPU or use 1 for the 4 pin CPU and the other for the GPU. The CPU is a Ryzen 7 5700x and the computer will not be used for gaming just editing photos.

I'd expect it to be fine either way, but the graphics card has a bigger need for power than the CPU.
