I have a Gigabyte Z77-D3H MB with 8GB RAM - Corsair Vengeance Blue Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel. I have bought some replacement memory at a great price but after checking the MB support page I am concerned the new memory is not listed and hence will not be compatible. The new memory is Corsair Vengeance 8GB sticks (I have 4 sticks so 32MB in total) 1600MHz DDR3 (CML8GX3M1A1600C10).

Any advice in terms of if this will work, if I will see much improvement in all around use and lastly if I might have to make any MB setting changes.

Thanks

Although your exact model may not be listed, I'd be very surprised if you had any compatibility issues.

You should see a noticeable performance improvement going from 8GB to 32GB, especially in games.

That’s good to hear - would the MB recognise the extra memory automatically or would I normally have to change some settings ? Thanks.

It should recognise it automatically. When you first boot after installation, you should get a message saying the configuration has changed. The only setting you may have to change is the XMP profile. It may default to 1333MHz, so just check in the BIOS and enable XMP if required.
