The memory itself is a 32gb 2x16gb 3600mhz Corsair Vengeance LPX kit which I cannot get to run at anything more than 3000mhz. When running at 3000mhz it's using the timings which it should be able to achieve at 3600mhz.
This particular kit which won't run at XMP was purchased to use in a system as stop gap, whilst I RMA'd the broken kit from that system, at that point in time it it did run at 3600mhz - it was taken out once I received my returned RMA and stored.
I've since built a second system using the kit, but cannot get it running at 3600mhz anymore! The motherboard and CPU have both been able to run 3600mhz ram previously when it was part of my build here - https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...le-240mm-radiator-custom-loop-build.18922029/
I cannot remove this ram to easily diagnose where the issue lies by putting it in to my main system, and the ram in the main system will not fit in this system due to the height of it.
Is inability to run at XMP mostly a ram issue, or could it be a motherboard or CPU related issue?
