Corsair Vengeance ARGB DDR5 - Should it remember the lighting settings after formatting the hard drive?

Just a quick query about ARGB Corsair Vengeance ram,

I have a 32gb kit but I don't like the lighting so I downloaded the icue software and use it to switch them off.

Since then, I have reformatted my hard drive a few times and it only occurred to me a few minutes ago that the lights have not been back on since.

Is that the normal behaviour for it?

(I was expecting the lights would to go back to the defaults after a format and that i'd have to re download icue to switch them off again)

If you save the profit to the stock’s memory yes. If you don’t then no.

Gutted, I was hoping it had developed a fault so I could return it and swap it for a none ARGB set.
