I noticed even though my pc didn't crash prime 95 gave fatal error messages. I see my memory should be 1.35v but my motherboard have them at 1.18. I'm green compared to you folks could that be what is causing the errors?

When it's running at the default 2166MHz it only uses 1.2v. When you activate the XMP profile in the BIOS it then goes to 3200MHz and uses 1.35v.

I just bought the same RAM, it's unstable at stock (2166MHz/1.2v) with Prime failing instantly pretty much, especially when I increase the RAM usage.

It seems to be OK at XMP speed/volts, just tried prime using 14GB RAM (for 15.8GB total usage) and it was fine for 30 minutes.

Unsure what I'm going to do about it yet, but it seems OK for now at least, definitely need to do more testing though.

I have just fitted Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz along with my 6700k to a Asus Sabertooth Z170 S build.
It is testing now for stability etc at 4.5GHz and the memory is set to using its XMP profile at 3200mhz with 1.35v, although that will be tested as well.

Up to now it seems fine and stable enough, without testing the memory as yet though, but what do you mean about what you are going to do about it...?

I mean whether I'll bother to RMA it or not.

Normally I would, but that's the only PC and DDR4 that I have so I'd prefer not to if I can get it stable.

It still seems fine, haven't had anymore problems, so will probably just keep it.

...ah I see. I have started running some Intel Burn test on maximum settings, uses all the RAM. Up to now that seems fine.
I like the LP aspect as it allows my R1 Ultimate cooler to fit nicely.
