Corsair Vengeance or Dominator

Looking at getting either Vengeance or Dominator 8Gb sticks...

They seem pretty much the same. Anyone have a preference?

The vengeance as its cheaper and doesnt fill all the RAM slots.

You do know that if you have a big cooler they can get in the way?

Well the dominator ones are cheaper at that offer price (per stick at least). Either is good. How much RAM do you need? You're paying quite a bit just to have 8GB sticks.

Make sure they won't interfere with your cooling (such as large heatsinks) - I think the dominators heatsinks can be taken off (the top bits, as they're screwed on).

The dominator heatsinks can be removed, though it doesn't take much of the height of the chips

It's for a workstation not a gaming rig.

Price wise both change weekly. Last week the vengeance sticks were on offer.

Try 16Gb of the Vengeance RAM, add more later if needed

I assume you have a suitable OS to use more than 16GB?
