So I'm getting some more RAM for my new Rtyen 5600x, but before I do so in want to check a few things.

1) Is the 32gb Vengeance pro on a **No Competitors ** website any different as it is £129.99 compared to £200 on OCUK

2) Will this be suitable for my B550 Mortar and Ryzen cpu?

3) I've seen lots of info about C16/C17/C18 and 'timings' but have no idea what this all means. Will it come tuned as standard?

Many thanks

To tune the RAM its best to use the XMP mode in bios. CL16 is faster than CL18, faster the RA,M the timings may become looser.

In regards to the different versions, it depends on whether they are truly the same sticks of RAM. Both should have model numbers to check against.

The optimal bang for buck speed for RAM and this chip is 3600Mhrz, however the most compatible speed is 3200Mhrz. A good B550 board should be fine as long as you are sensible and don't cheap out ion RAM or try and run at 4000 MHz speeds.

Why do you need 32 gig? Unless you are video editing or doing many tasks whilst gaming, it won't be utilised in Windows 10. I use 16 and never suffer issues in gaming. Save some money and pay half the price.

Corsair RAM should be tested for quality before sent to retail, and sticks matched, so it should be fine.

After reading your comments I am tempted to cancel my order and go for 16gb 4000hz ram.

Do you think that would be a better option? Similar price.
