Just purchased this for my new AM5 rig. Anyone else using this memory? How you getting on with it? Any issues getting it running at said speeds and CAS latency?

I think the price is really good, I nearly went with G.skill, but after hearing their RMA can be difficult I stuck with corsair.

Coming from AM4, how would I get the memory to run at this speed as I understand this is quicker than what AM5 uses at stock? 5200Mhz? Do I enable EXPO to hit 6000Mhz?

Sorry AM5 noob here haha.

Thanks.

Yes, assuming the memory that you purchased supports EXPO. I believe the default speed for this memory is 4800.

When you turn on your pc for the first time allow up to 5 minutes for the motherboard to train the memory, screen may stay blank or restart while this happens
This is great advice.

It causes a panic when you forget how long it takes and turn your machine on after a BIOS update.

OP, have a nosey around DDR5 overclocking forum threads and watch videos on YouTube by experts such as Buildzoid.

RAM is insanely complicated so don’t feel bad for not know about what is actually a complex topic.

Definitely do a BIOS update on your motherboard as that often helps RAM stability (unless it’s a bad BIOS update) and make sure that you write your settings down on a piece of paper for reference.

Thanks for this.

It has arrived. Yey! Shame I can't use it yet. :p

Corsair memory is best avoided on am5 as they use Samsung chips which don't offer much tweaking ability from what I've seen and can be temperamental.
G.skill or Kingston are recommended as they use hynix chips

Will see how it goes, I don't plan to run these out of spec so hopefully they'll be just fine otherwise I'll RMA them but they were one of the few that out of the box were CL30 that I could find. Like @Dreadi says, I can always replace with G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB.
