I think they do, but they are "joined". The 520W for example I think has 3 rails, but rated as one rail. Its only got 1 12v rail at 41A, thought it would have 2![]()

HX520 seems better, its modular aswell.

if your not bothered by modular then the VX is your best bet. same good build quility but no modular cables, its cheaper too and 30w more powerful.

So the HX520W is now inferior compared to the VX550W?
I just cant imagine using a non modular PSU after using 2 modular PSU's.

Will this extra 30W really matter?
And does the HX520 not have more combines Amps, 54 adding all the rails up, but obviously less for effeciency, so which one can power more really?
The 520 has 40amps on the 12v rail.
All the HX series have over this new VX550 is that they are modular. The voltage regulation, ripple and efficiency are all superior on the VX550 (only the 550 though, not the 450).
By strange coincidence, it is the only supply in their lineup that isn't built for them by Seasonic.
So how much does the VX550W has, since it aint 100% efficient it cant have the amount of amps that is is rated at on the label.
Oh well, the HX520W cant be a bad PSU tho, is it going with those type-r's now?
